Rehearsal Room Requests

Students in jazz program ensembles can request after-hours rehearsal and jam spaces in the Music Annex (MX) rooms 002 and 005. These spaces are available Thursday to Sunday, starting at 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends, subject to availability and school course schedules.

Requests can only be made for the current week and cannot be scheduled in advance.

Reservation Requests

To request a desired room and time, please email scheduling@mgsa.rutgers.edu. You will receive a response from the site administrator stating whether your request has been approved or rejected.

Room Key Procedure

Upon approval of the room reservation, the student must pick up the keys from the main office by 3 p.m. on Friday and promptly return them to that office or place them in the key drop-off box.

Terms

A student who receives a key is fully responsible for it and cannot transfer this responsibility to anyone else. They must return the rooms to their proper condition, turn off the lights, and lock the door. Failing to return keys on time will make the student ineligible for future reservations, and they will also be responsible for the cost of replacing lost keys.
