Currently enrolled students who participate in jazz program ensembles are eligible to request after-hour ensemble spaces for rehearsals and jams. Approval for such requests is made through space administrators who are supplied a list of approved individuals each semester.

Requests are only for the Music Annex (MX) spaces, rooms 002 and 005. These spaces are generally available Thursday through Sunday, 7:00pm and onwards during weekdays, and throughout the day on weekends. Space availability is not guaranteed and is subject to school course schedules which may vary. Requests can be made for the current week only and cannot be scheduled in advance.

Reservation Requests

Use the MGSA Space Request Form to request a desired room and time. You will receive an email reply from administration stating either approval or rejection of the request.

Room Key Procedure

Upon approval of the room reservation, room keys must then be picked up by the student from the main office no later than Friday 3pm, and returned to that office or placed in the key drop-off box, promptly. Failure to return keys in a timely manner will result in that student’s ineligibility to make further reservation requests. The student assumes responsibility for all costs to replace lost keys.

Terms

The student who has been provided a key is held fully accountable, the responsibility of which cannot be transferred to anyone else. They must ensure that the room is returned to proper condition, lights turned off, door locked, and room key returned.
