The Balkans are a beautiful, alluring, and complex region whose artistic contributions deserve wider recognition and celebration. Situated in southeastern Europe, this land has long been a crossroads of civilizations, bridging East and West since the earliest times. Bulgarian violinist Miroslav Hristov and Serbian pianist Vladimir Valjarević, performing together as the Kaleidos Duo, have embarked on a journey to bring this vibrant musical heritage to audiences.
Their program features works by George Enescu (Romania), Isidora Žebeljan (Serbia), Alojz Srebotnjak (Slovenia), Fazil Say (Turkey), Dora Pejačević (Croatia), Pancho Vladigerov (Bulgaria), Yannis Constantinidis (Greece).
