Room Reservations
Policies and Notes
Practice Rooms:
- Practice Rooms:
- Active MGSA Piano Students can reserve piano practice rooms. Any other practice rooms can not be reserved and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Piano Practice Rooms are: Annex 101, 104, 105, 110, 111, and 114. MMB 020, 004, 005, 006, and 007. RMH 010, 012, 013, 016, and 017.
- Piano Practice Rooms are reserved through ArtSpace with availability opening up each Sunday at midnight for the upcoming week. QR codes are posted on each piano practice room door to view availability and/or make a reservation.
- Active MGSA Piano Students can reserve piano practice rooms. Any other practice rooms can not be reserved and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Chamber Rehearsals:
- Students can reserve studio spaces and rehearsal spaces for Chamber Music Rehearsals.
- Students will need to communicate the names of who will be participating in the ensemble rehearsal in the Artspace Reservation Request notes. If a student is found to use this reservation for personal practice, their reservation privileges will be suspended for the remainder of the academic year.
Recording Studio:
- Students can reserve the recording studio through the approval process of the Music Department only. Please find more information here.
How do I Reserve a Space?
- Check Artspace to see the availability of our spaces
- Click the Reserve a Space button at the top left of the screen to reserve the space
- Fill out all required information including the names of everyone involved in the rehearsal
- Once you have approval, the space will be reserved for you
- Pick up a temporary key from the Front Office; note that the Front Office will check that the room has been reserved prior to signing out a key.
- Return your key immediately after finishing with your reservation to the Front Office or the key dropbox outside the front office door in Marryott Music Building
- Nicholas Music Center is not to be reserved by any student for any reason.
