Feel free to contact me with any questions about this class and zines.

My name is Elif Sendur, and I am teaching at the Rutgers University Department of English Writing Program. I did a truly interdisciplinary Ph.D. in the field of comparative literature. My primary research interests include film/media theory and archaeologies, critical posthumanist studies, science/ speculative fiction (especially New Weird), and gender/ queer studies. I am very grateful to have exceptionally brilliant students who enthusiastically work with me, ask me very challenging questions, which often take my thinking to new and interesting places, and recommend me great animes or mangas.  Best way to reach me is via my email: es1037@english.rutgers.edu

For this zine making project, I had help from my colleague Dr. Irmak Ertuna- Howison who is a zine maker, author of two books, co- editor of a collection on eco-criticism in Turkish literature and film. Having a Ph.D in comparative literature, she  currently teaches writing, philosophy, and world literature in Columbus, Ohio at Columbus College of Art and Design and does zine making workshops just like the one she did for me in addition to creating zines on her spare time. Best way to reach her is via her email: iertuna@ccad.edu
