John Purcell

Dr. Purcell received a PhD in Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience from Indiana University in 2022 following completion of clinical internship at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow working with Drs. Jennifer Mulle and David Zald. His research investigates how disadvantageous decision-making is impacted by the perception of risk/uncertainty and positive valence systems subserving reward-seeking in psychosis-spectrum and affective disorders.

Outside of the lab, John enjoys singing, being in nature, baking, and dreaming of one day owning a pet skunk.
