Ugne graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Biological Sciences in 2020, during which she discovered her passion for research and medicine. She matriculated to the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson-Princeton MD/PhD Program in 2022, where she is now year completing her PhD in Neuroscience studying the 3q29 deletion under the mentorship of Dr. Mulle. Her primary research interests include psychiatry and mental health, as well as the intersection of biological and environmental factors that influence the etiology of these conditions.
When not in the lab, Ugne enjoys hiking, crafting, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.
