Arianna Horgan recently graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences and a minor in Public Health. While her future studies will focus on medicine, she remains passionate about underscoring the oft-understated contributions of bivalves to ecosystem vitality. In the Munroe Lab as a George H Cook scholar, Ari investigated drivers of variation in gut transit time and parasite infestation in Crassostrea virginica, a project which has important implications in nutrient reduction research.
