Janine joined the Munroe Lab as a graduate student in 2019 where I studied the water quality benefits farmed and wild oysters provide in the mid-Atlantic and how climate change (i.e., an increase in the intensity and frequency of precipitation events) impacts oysters’ ability to provide this ecosystem service. Prior to joining the Munroe lab Janine graduated from Gettysburg College in 2015 with B.S. degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies and from 2015-2019 Janine worked as a research fellow with the EPA’s Office of Water in Washington D.C. Janine graduated with a Master’s Degree in Oceanography from Rutgers in May 2022 and is currently a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow working in the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
