Sophia Piper is Ph.D. candidate in the Rutgers Ecology & Evolution program. She received her
bachelor’s degree in environmental science at Stockton University in the Spring 2021. Her
research interests include benthic invertebrate ecology, predator-prey dynamics in a
fisheries context, and anthropogenic impacts on benthic community assemblages.
