{"id":656,"date":"2021-09-23T13:10:25","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T13:10:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/nels-52\/?page_id=656"},"modified":"2021-10-28T21:03:10","modified_gmt":"2021-10-28T21:03:10","slug":"talk-and-poster-format","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/nels-52\/faq\/talk-and-poster-format\/","title":{"rendered":"Talk and Poster Format"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Talks<\/h4>\n<p><em>20 minute pre-recorded talk (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">synchronous<\/span>) + 10 minutes LIVE Q&amp;A during your assigned\u00a0<\/em><i>time slot\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>DURING THE TALK SESSION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The session chair will show your pre-recorded video for the first 20 minutes of your assigned time.<\/li>\n<li>Immediately after your talk, the Chair will facilitate a LIVE 10-minute Q&amp;A session in your zoom meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OUTSIDE OF THE SESSION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We will ensure that your talk video will be viewable from your OSF page <em>after<\/em> your talk.<\/li>\n<li>You may add additional materials to your OSF page and\/or your dedicated Slack channel as well.\u00a0(See <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/nels-52\/faq\/zoom-and-slack-workspace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">instructions on Slack<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<li>Please use the Slack channel to have further discussions about your work!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Posters<\/h4>\n<p><em>3 minute lightning talk (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">asynchronous<\/span>) + LIVE breakout room during poster session<\/em><\/p>\n<p>DURING THE POSTER SESSION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At the beginning of the poster session, we will open all breakout rooms (labeled by author last names), and participants will be able to freely move from a breakout room to another.<\/li>\n<li>You will be asked to join your dedicated breakout room and present your materials, answer questions, and so on, as with any other poster session.<\/li>\n<li>You will also be able to share your handouts or slides with the participants in your breakout room.<\/li>\n<li>You may present a traditional poster format or have slides available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OUTSIDE OF THE SESSION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your pre-recorded lightning talks have been made available for viewing by all registered participants on your dedicated Slack channel.<\/li>\n<li>You may also choose to upload your lightning video to your OSF page\u00a0or in your dedicated Slack channel.
