My name is Gavin Walker-Mason and I am deeply honored to serve as the first Sophomore on the SGA Executive Board in recorded University history as the Chief of Staff. Moving across the country from Glendale, Arizona to Rutgers – Newark was a transformative experience in my life; unbeknownst to me then, I would become deeply engrained in this beautiful and vibrant community. From my involvement in SGA, to my participation on the RUN Men’s Volleyball team, and enrollment in the HLLC & Honors Living Learning Community (HLLC), Rutgers-Newark has become my home away from home and I am so deeply grateful for what this University has given me and how it has pushed me to be my very best self. It has enriched and supported me in ways I never imagined. I am passionate about this work, I am passionate about community outreach and public service, and I look forward to two more incredible years at RUN and the Student Governing Association.
