Food + Shelter Insecurity Committee
The Food & Shelter Committee focuses on addressing students’ basic needs by promoting food security and affordable housing. They organize initiatives such as food drives, meal giveaways, and maintain campus food pantries to ensure students have access to affordable meals. Their efforts aim to connect students with essential resources, raise awareness about these issues, and create long-term solutions for student well-being.

Diversity Inclusion Committee
The Diversity Inclusion Committee works to promote an inclusive and equitable campus environment by advocating for the needs and voices of underrepresented students. The committee organizes events, workshops, and educational programs that celebrate cultural diversity and foster understanding among the student body. They collaborate with various student organizations, faculty, and administration to address issues related to discrimination, bias, and unequal access to resources. Their goal is to ensure that all students, regardless of background, feel welcome and supported, and to create policies that enhance campus diversity and inclusion.

Voter Registration/Civic Engagement Committee
The Voter Registration Committee focuses on encouraging civic engagement by promoting voter education, registration, and participation among students. The committee organizes voter registration drives, distributes information on voter rights, and provides resources for absentee and early voting. Their goal is to make the voting process accessible and straightforward, empowering students to take an active role in local, state, and national elections.

Health Services Committee
The Health Services Committee works to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students by improving access to health-related resources on campus. The committee collaborates with campus health centers to enhance services such as medical care, counseling, wellness programs, and mental health support. Their goal is to ensure students have the necessary resources and support to maintain a healthy lifestyle, both academically and personally.

Environmental Committee
The Environmental Committee focuses on promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship within the campus community. The committee leads initiatives aimed at reducing the university’s carbon footprint, such as recycling programs, energy conservation efforts, and waste reduction campaigns. Their goal is to create a greener, more sustainable campus for current and future students.

Internal Affairs Committee
The Internal Affairs Committee is responsible for overseeing the internal operations and governance of the SGA itself. This includes managing the structure, bylaws, and policies that guide the functioning of the organization. Their goal is to maintain a well-organized, effective, and transparent student government that serves the student body.

Audit/Constitution and Bylaw Review Committee
The Audit/Constitution and Bylaw Review Committee is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and legal compliance of the SGA, as well as maintaining the relevance and accuracy of its governing documents. Their goal is to uphold accountability, legal adherence, and effective governance within the SGA.

Elections Committee (Inactive)
The Elections Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization and execution of student government elections. This includes setting the election timeline, managing candidate registration, and ensuring that the campaigning process follows established rules. The committee also coordinates the voting process, whether it’s online or in person, and ensures that all students have fair access to participate. Additionally, they verify and certify election results, handle any disputes or challenges, and promote transparency throughout the election process. Their goal is to ensure a fair, efficient, and democratic election for all students.

Leadership Committee
The Leadership Committee for the Student Government Association (SGA) focuses on developing and enhancing leadership skills among students. This committee organizes leadership workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs to empower students to take on leadership roles both within the SGA and in other campus organizations. They may also facilitate networking opportunities, bring in guest speakers, and collaborate with university leadership to provide training on topics such as communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution. Their goal is to cultivate a strong community of student leaders who are equipped to positively impact campus and beyond.

The Public Relations committee for the Student Governing Association focuses on improving and maintaining good relations between the University, SGA and the students it represents. It focuses on maintaining transparency and allowing its students to be heard. It is responsible for maintaining the Website and actively updating it.
