Hello! My name is Onari Kahandawa, and I am a sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice. Over the summer, I interned as an HR Intern at the Jersey City Housing Authority, where I gained valuable professional experience. On campus, I have been involved as an Orientation Leader and a Peer Mentor, both of which gave me the opportunity to support and connect with fellow students.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active by playing badminton and going for runs. I joined SGA because I want to represent the interests of my peers in the School of Criminal Justice. As an Academic Senator, I can help with student concerns, provide better resources, and offer more academic support. I believe students’ voices matter, and I want to make sure they lead to real changes on campus.
