Here&#8217;s a recap of the meeting&#8217;s highlights:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Executive Board Reports<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chief of Staff Updates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Open Forum (Feb. 20): A reminder that the Open Forum will take place from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM in the Bergen Room of PRCC. Selected Senators will be presenting, with emails sent to confirm participation.<\/li>\n<li>Communication Expectations: The meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining a supportive environment and adhering to communication guidelines, including GroupMe and email for official business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Presidential Updates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>President Wardah Samad was absent and did not provide updates for this session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vice President Updates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Savayra Rao had no new updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chief of Finance Updates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Shaheer Iqbal reported no changes to the budget status since the last meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Executive Secretary Updates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>May Akter provided updates on the Senate point tracking sheet and upcoming key dates, including:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Dates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Feb. 20: Open Forum<\/li>\n<li>Mar. 6: SGA Large-Scale Volunteering Event<\/li>\n<li>April 25: SGA Ceremony &amp; Awards<\/li>\n<li>May 5: SOIS Express Night<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Committee Reports<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Food + Shelter Insecurity<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Chair Alya Nassrallah worked with Shaheer Iqbal on an Amazon order for food rescue supplies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Voter Registration:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair Moujan Moghimi reminded members of NJ-PIRG&#8217;s tabling event today.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Health Services:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair Melanie Garcia met with President Wardah Samad and deans to plan the Art Cafe event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Audit\/Constitution and Bylaw Review:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>10 pages left on Constitution review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Relations:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Will be finishing the website today.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Legislation &amp; Votes<\/h3>\n<p>Several important pieces of legislation were discussed and voted on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>GBM Breakfast Legislation:<\/strong> Approved amendment in legislation for funding breakfast at every GBM.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Co-Sponsoring Women\u2019s History Month Debate Event<\/strong>: Passed, with discussions on committee formation and the event&#8217;s purpose.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Co-Sponsoring Black History Month Law Panel:<\/strong> Approved.<\/li>\n<li><strong>E-Board Mixer Event:<\/strong> Legislation passed to fund an E-Board Mixer event for food costs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Banner Legislation:<\/strong> Approved for funding to create a banner to promote SGA&#8217;s initiatives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Business Cards Legislation:<\/strong> Tabled for further discussion in the next meeting. It will allow all students to access business cards, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Senate Reports<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alya Nassrallah<\/strong> is working on securing water fountains in the University Square Building.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Moujan Moghimi<\/strong> reported on the IRC training for undocumented students&#8217; rights and resources.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Safanya Searcy<\/strong> is offering the opportunity to shadow her for University Senate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Hearing of the SGA &amp; Public<\/h3>\n<p>Members discussed food concerns in Stonsby Hall, including pest control issues and the cash transaction system for dining services. A proposal for shifting communication from GroupMe to Discord or Slack was also presented, with feedback invited from the student body.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Adjournment<\/h3>\n<p>The meeting concluded with a vote to adjourn.
