Held at Rutgers University\u2013Newark, the event featured dynamic team presentations highlighting student-led research, public engagement, and community-driven solutions to pressing environmental issues in Newark and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center\" data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"1179\">The conference kicked off with opening remarks introducing the Newark Geoscience Ecosystem (NewGeo), followed by powerful showcases from graduate students working alongside local organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steamurban.org\/\">STEAM Urban<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newarkwatercoalition.org\/\"> Newark Water Coalition<\/a>.
