Jane Rosenblatt serves as Chief of Staff for New Jersey’s Commissioner for Environmental Protection Shawn M. LaTourette and is a member of the Commissioner’s senior leadership team. In her role as Chief of Staff, Jane advises and supports the Commissioner in directing the Department of Environmental Protection, the large state agency responsible for ensuring protection of New Jersey’s land, air, water and natural and historic resources. Jane provides executive leadership and policy direction to programs across the Department and oversees priority state and agency initiatives such as the responsible development of offshore wind energy in New Jersey. Prior to joining the DEP, Jane served in the Office of Governor Phil Murphy as Cabinet Liaison. Before joining state government, Jane developed environmental policy expertise in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on advancing sustainable water infrastructure investment and local environmental action.
