450-1500<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h4><strong>Overview:<\/strong>\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Small, oval beetles with a tan to dark brown shell, often with darker <\/span><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">mottling<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Adults are about 8-11 mm long and active during summer<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Larvae are white, c-shaped grubs found in soil, feeding on roots, <\/span><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">growing to \u00be&#8221; long<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">One generation per year<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Adults emerge mid-June, peaking in early July<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Females lay small, spherical eggs in the soil at the bases of bushes, <\/span><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">preferring wetter soils<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Eggs cannot develop in dry soil<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Overwinter as third-instars and enter pre-pupal stage in late May<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">Adults feed on foliage \u2013 causing minor damage, but can leave holes <\/span><span data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\">or skeletonized leaves, especially on the top of the plants<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span
