Julie Blumenfeld, DNP, CNM, is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Fellow of the American College of Nurse Midwives and American Academy of Nursing. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor & Program Director of the Nurse Midwifery Program at Rutgers School of Nursing. She has spent the past two decades providing midwifery care in Trenton, NJ. She is the Chair of the NJ Maternal Care Quality Collaborative, serves on the NJ Maternal Mortality Review Committee, and the NJ Board of Medical Examiners Midwifery Liaison Committee. Additionally, she was a member of the NJ DMAHS/DOH Doula Stakeholder Committee. Dr. Blumenfeld is active in the American College of Nurse Midwives and currently serves as Vice Chair of the College’s State Government Affairs Committee and President of its NJ Affiliate. She is the recipient of the American College of Nurse Midwives 2023 Policy Award in recognition of her work to expand access to midwifery in NJ.
