Its goal is to investigate how COVID-19 has affected Newark\u2019s education system. After the immediate shutdown in the spring, and transition into teaching online, students would like to discover how remote learning has benefited or harmed Newark\u2019s youth. This chapter intends to look into the lives of the youth, and analyze how the pandemic has changed their social, emotional, or family circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The students in this chapter interviewed school administrators, tutors, the superintendent, students, etc, to cover all sides of education and COVID-19, as well as keep the community updated on possible changes in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/new-jersey\/newarknj\/newark-schools-stick-normal-grading-policy\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">school policies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This chapter focuses on education and the youth.
