Models<\/em> is an exhibition by Photovoice participants at Newark\u2019s Pride Center and Project WOW who explore representations of persons and proposed structures or systems that they desire to live within. These 15 artists address issues or sites of activism in their own lives. Their photographs and writings speak of simple wishes, body positivity, memorials of past people and ancestors, rebuilding worlds, and appropriation of culture.<\/p>\n

This project was initiated by Ashley Grosso and Jacqueline Thaw of Rutgers University. The Photovoice workshops were facilitated by photographer Gabriel Sacco. <\/p>\n
