Javier Almeyda y nuestro intern, John Cruz Nieves, instalaron el primer disco externo de respaldo para la digitalización que se realiza en la Colección Puertorriqueña de la UPR. El equipo es un Western Digital 16TB RAID External Hard Drive que permitirá guardar las digitalizaciones en formato JPG y PDF. Este equipo se pudo adquirir gracias a la propuesta que la Prof. Jeanmary Lugo sometió en 2023 al Digital Preservation Outreach and Education Network (DPOE-N).
Javier Almeyda and our intern, John Cruz Nieves, installed the first external backup drive for the digitization project being carried out in the Puerto Rican Collection at UPR. The equipment is a Western Digital 16TB RAID External Hard Drive that will allow us to store digitized files in JPG and PDF formats. This equipment was acquired thanks to the proposal submitted by Prof. Jeanmary Lugo in 2023 to the Digital Preservation Outreach and Education Network (DPOE-N).
