Nuestro pasante Luis Nazario comenzó sus trabajos en el Archivo de Ciencias Sociales y del Caribe del Instituto de Estudios del Caribe en la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Río Piedras, bajo la supervisión del profesor Jorge Giovannetti. Luis estará trabajando en la transcripción y digitalización de apuntes de investigación de varios antropólogos, la digitalización de panfletos de la colección Gordon Lewis y la organización y digitalización de notas de investigación de Seda Bonilla.
Agradecemos al bibliotecario Javier Almeyda de la Colección Puertorriqueña por ofrecerle a Luis un taller sobre el uso del scanner CZUR que estará utilizando para la digitalización de materiales.
Work begins at the Social Sciences and Caribbean Archive
Our intern Luis Nazario has started his work at the Social Sciences and Caribbean Archive of the Caribbean Studies Institute at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, under the supervision of Professor Jorge Giovannetti. Luis will be working on the transcription and digitization of research notes from various anthropologists, the digitization of pamphlets from the Gordon Lewis collection, and the organization and digitization of research notes from Seda Bonilla.
We thank librarian Javier Almeyda from the Puerto Rican Collection for offering Luis a workshop on the use of the CZUR scanner that he will be using for the digitization of the materials.
