El Archivo General de Puerto Rico publicó oficialmente su proyecto “Colecciones Digitales del Archivo General de Puerto Rico”. Este iniciativa, que inició en el 2020 gracias al apoyo de la Fundación Andrew W. Mellon, promueve la preservación y busca asegurar y facilitar el acceso a las colecciones del AGPR. En esta primera fase se incluyen sobre 3,500 documentos y audiovisuales, con más de 190 mil páginas de manuscritos, periódicos, fotografías, gráficos, partituras y revistas de diferentes colecciones fundamentales que se custodian en el AGPR.
El contenido está accesible de tres maneras distintas: a través de búsqueda por colecciones; navegación en la página principal utilizando la barra de búsqueda o los filtros; y búsquedas basadas en los diversos formatos de información. Para estar al tanto de las actualizaciones y la publicación de nuevos materiales, puedes inscribirte a la lista de comunicaciones del AGPR.

The General Archive of Puerto Rico officially launched its project “Digital Collections of the General Archive of Puerto Rico.” This initiative, which began in 2020 with the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, promotes preservation and aims to ensure and facilitate access to the AGPR collections. The first phase includes over 3,500 documents and audiovisual materials, with more than 190,000 pages of manuscripts, newspapers, photographs, graphics, scores, and magazines from various key collections held at the AGPR.
