The PRAC community has been developing over the past two years, but with the support from the Mellon Foundation we will be able to expand our impact in both host institutions and our interns themselves. July 1 2024 marks the start of our new Mellon Interns. We have recruited a group of initial interns that will start this week and others will be recruited in the next few weeks. The Archivo General de Puerto Rico, Coleccion Puertorriquena of the UPR library and many other centers have already or will soon have assigned interns with very specific tasks and goals. Check out our pages in the next few weeks for updates on the interns and host institution collections work.
AGPR intern teams, including year-round interns and summer graduate student interns, will begin training with Pedro Roig on July 9. At the Collecion Puertorriquena a team of four interns will begin work on the second of July.
