About the Film
BABY DOE (2025), directed by Jessica Earnshaw, follows Gail Ritchey, a mother of three whose quiet life is upended when DNA evidence links her to a newborn found decades earlier in rural Ohio. Facing a possible life sentence, Gail and her family confront the human complexity behind the headlines — exploring themes of women’s health, justice, and the societal and religious pressures that shape stories like hers.
