The Full-Time MBA Immersive Orientation formally known as the Co-Curricular Experience – The MBA Edge<\/p>\n

0-credit bearing, mandatory for first-year FT MBA students and a graduation requirement.<\/p>\n

Instructor: Marc Limata<\/p>\n

Course Overview: The First-year Orientation Immersion Experience – The MBA Edge, is a first-year graduate-level Orientation beginning at Orientation in August designed to allow MBA students to develop critical business competencies. The Orientation is designed to be interactive, allowing students to apply what they learn to real-world situations. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in data analytics and visualization, sales, presentation skills, Excel, Tableau, Montecarlo Simulation, leadership proficiency, and networking skills. Consequently, the Orientation aims to develop the student professionally with the qualities and skills needed for a successful business career.<\/p>\n

Four sessions will be held in the Fall semester and four in the Spring semester of the first year of the MBA program. Each section will be 90-120 minutes long, depending on student engagement and questions.
\nDay and Time: Various days and times in-person or online that will not conflict with your coursework.<\/p>\n

This course will be added to your transcript during your second semester and is required for graduation. Students are expected to attend and be engaged during class sessions.<\/p>\n

Fall Semester Classes<\/span>:<\/p>\n

All class sessions for fall will be announced at Orientation.<\/p>\n

The MBA Enhancement Module<\/a>s<\/span> are also required for this Orientation by Dec. 15th.<\/p>\n

Calc and Stat Modules<\/a> are also due by Dec. 15th and are a separate graduation requirement, and required for your spring coursework.<\/p>\n

1. Attend all sessions in person at Orientation in August<\/p>\n

\nAttend all scheduled sessions and activities.
\nParticipate actively and take notes.
\nNetwork with peers and faculty.<\/p>\n

2. Attend Sessions Throughout the Fall & Spring Semesters of Your First Year<\/p>\n

Attend each of the four scheduled sessions each semester (fall and spring).<\/p>\n

Tips to succeed:
\nPrepare for each session by completing any required readings or assignments.
\nEngage actively in discussions and activities.<\/p>\n

3. Complete Your Modules on Coursera<\/p>\n
