Online Professional Development Series Module #2: Diversity & Inclusion in Life

Diversity and Inclusion is an awareness built upon respect for other people’s space. Sub-optimization, disrespect, and conflict arise from non-diversity or “exclusion.” Applying a space for all people around you is an organizational asset, let alone a life expectancy. Talent and development professionals globally spend most of their time training organizations in gender, generational, cultural, and many other forms of diversity awareness within the workforce. Currently, four generations are operating in the workforce in parallel. A strong understanding of overt or masked prejudice is a drain upon performance optimization. Generational diversity is only one of many forms of inertia upon a “fun environment. Their differences are significant to recognize; however, more meaningful to accept in individual and team dynamics.

This module discusses many characteristics of personal and professional labeling in strengthening one’s approach to a diverse and ever-changing globe. Various scenarios and a couple of videos will be used as a baseline to convey and enhance our thinking and embrace others for who they are.
