Funded PhD position starting Spring or Fall ’26: I have a funded position for a full-time PhD student in my lab starting Spring or Fall ’26 for research on computational models and methods for electricity markets and power system planning. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in one or multiple of the following fields:

• Computational methods for power systems: For example experience with electricity market models, optimal power flow models, distribution system models.
• Energy system modeling and policy: For example experience with real-world energy data sets and models, large-scale capacity planning models, resiliency models
• Advanced methods in data-driven and machine learning-supported optimization: For example differentiable optimization, bilevel optimization, stochastic programming.
