E-Coffee Talk With The E-Board, September 16 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n Thank you for all newcomers and recurring members joining us tonight for a cup of tea or coffee as we discussed our general board meeting, where we talked about our plans moving forward this year, membership dues, and open e-board positions next spring semester. We hoped you enjoyed our fun activities planned for tonight, and hope to see you in the future!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thank you to our guest speaker, Carlos Flores, for his expertise as a Career Management Specialist at SMLR Career Services. We hoped attendees were able to receive tips and tricks for applying through handshake and LinkedIn, and can apply them into their job searching process. We hope to bring similar career-oriented events to you this semester, and wish to see you there!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For those of you who made it out to hear our guest speakers Anthony Bagliore and Lucille Alfano, we hope you received an inside look on the roles of a mediator and arbitrator, and the struggles that come with conflict resolution, while working remotely. RU LERA wants to thank Anthony and Lucille for their time, effort, and expertise in the workplace<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A collaboration event with RUSHRM Graduate Chapter and the Alumni and Friends of SMLR, we held a DE&I event with our honored guest Monika Navandar to share her experiences. Shoutout to the RUSHRM Graduate Chapter and Alumni and Friends of SMLR for collaborating with us on such a wonder event, and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed listening to Monika’s experiences encountering DE&I in the workplace!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thank you for all that attended our Labor Relations Professional Alumni Panel, and we hoped you enjoyed listening and gaining new insight from our guest speakers. We would like to humbly thank our guest speakers Leslie Reyes, Will Williamson, Rebecca Harvey, and Jonathan Moss for taking the time out of their day to share their experiences in the workplace. We hoped participants were able to learn invaluable knowledge and experiences that can aid in their career, and hoped everyone enjoyed this event!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n RU LERA would like to thank our guest speakers Tom Castello, Tracey Ng, Rick Remlinger, and Samantha Kelly for joining us and sharing their career experiences and providing career advice. We hoped members were able to network and ask any questions concerning their future careers, and learned important advice that can aid in their career. We hoped participants were able to connect and ask questions from experienced individuals in the workplace and learn meaningful information from our panelists.
