Nick studied Psychology at TCNJ during undergrad and found his interest in HR while taking an Industrial Psych course. He began his professional HR career with an internship at Dow Jones in the summer of 2018 where he worked with Talent Development to create and facilitate training for the greater employee base.
He started his learners at Rutgers in August of 2018. He has participated in three case competitions and was able to make it to the final round of each one. Through these competitions, he had the opportunity to hone his strategic analysis and public speaking skills by working on real-world HR problems and presenting solutions to executives of UnitedHealth Group, JP Morgan, and Caterpillar.
Throughout his time here at Rutgers, he’s been able to build wonderful relationships with his fellow students and the faculty through his classes and the RU SHRM monthly meetings. His favorite meeting topic from last year was Interview Tips and Tricks. During this meeting, we discussed insightful and clever strategies to nail the interview and secure the job.
This past summer he interned with Ingersoll Rand in North Carolina. He worked with the HR Business Partners supporting their Compression Technologies and Services SBU, where he revamped their onboarding plan and helped in the day to day support of their Sales Offices.
He is set to graduate in May of 2020, but until then he looks forward to serving as your VP of Membership!
