The Rutgers Mathematics End of Year (RUMEY) Conference started in May 2022 as a component of the department’s P2C2 Initiative, reporting out on the practices developed during that work and conveying the principles of active learning to the faculty as a whole. Currently, the conference upholds similar goals, addressing the current issues in undergraduate mathematics education and showcasing innovations that faculty have implemented in their own classrooms to help their students learn.

This conference, situated at the end of academic year, provides an opportunity to

  • Discuss new and pressing issues in undergraduate math education,
  • Have faculty present on topics of interest or innovations that have had a positive impact on their classrooms, and
  • Build community among the instructors teaching mathematics across the curriculum.

The next conference will be held on Friday May 15, 2026 at Rutgers-New Brunswick. More details about the conference will be available soon!
