The Rutgers University Reproductive Sciences Group (RU Repro) is an initiative funded by the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey (HGINJ) that was created by Dr. Schindler. The consortium includes researchers from multiple research groups (~8 labs) that focus on the genetics of reproduction, including gametogenesis, meiosis and fertility in males and females. The group meets twice per month in a seminar series format with a mix of outside speakers and members from one of the participating research groups. After a talk, time for networking and discussion opportunities are provided. The group also funds trainee travel awards, holds a yearly poster session, promotes collaborations and provides general intellectual support to its members.
