Dr. Shapiro extensive experience with specialized surgical procedures such as a cochlear implants, vestibular schwannoma microsurgical resection, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, bone conduction implants, cerebrospinal fluid leak repair, and third window inner ear disorders in both children and adults. Though he has extensive surgical experience, he believes in a conservative approach, only performing surgery when the benefits clearly outweigh the risks.
