Fatma Nur Karaaslan holds a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Architecture from Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in History at Bahçeşehir University. Her research focuses on urbanization in the Early Modern Ottoman world, with a particular interest in the intersections of architecture, spatial transformations, and digital humanities.
Between 2022 and 2024, she worked as a research assistant in the AKİS project at Sabancı University, contributing to the development of digital tool for historical analysis. Prior to her academic career, she gained experience in healthcare as a nurse, which shaped her interdisciplinary perspective in approaching historical and urban studies.
