Welcome!
The Social Health Lab is led by Dr. Katie Darabos at Rutgers University.
Our research examines the biobehavioral factors (referring to behavioral, social, and/or psychological factors and associated biological processes) that are associated with adjustment and health-related decision-making among young adults with cancer. We utilize qualitative (e.g., semi-structured interviews, focus groups) and quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, geospatial data) as well as mHealth approaches (e.g., ecological momentary assessment) and application of salivary bioscience (e.g., salivary cortisol and salivary alpha amylase) to answer research questions aimed at improving the lives of young adults with cancer and their support networks (partner, family, friends).

We invite you to learn more about our Research Team, our Research Projects, Publications, Recent News, and explore Opportunities to get involved.
