The REA hosts several events throughout the year, including career nights for students, technical presentations for continuing education credits, and social events. Many of our events are hybrid format to allow SoE alumni both “on the banks” and “off the banks” to participate.

Engineering Convocation

The REA is looking for alumni to come back to campus for Convocation! Participate in this special graduation ceremony for the Rutgers Engineering Class of 2025 by helping hand out the official "R Alumni" pins to students as they prepare to walk across that stage. 2026 Elections Meeting - Jun 16th
June 16 @ 6:30 pm
RSVP at the email: engineering.alumni@rutgers.edu Parking Details: Visitors may park in Lots 51, 59B & 59. Guests must use the below link to register for the event. They must enter an email address where they will receive a confirmation. Until this process is completed their vehicles are not registered and your guests may receive a citation. Special Event parking does not include metered parking or allow free parking to faculty, staff, or students. Rutgers affiliated Faculty, Staff and Students must have a Rutgers parking permit (Semester, Daily, or Event) and park accordingly. Faculty, Staff, and Students parking without a parking permit or outside their parking permit assignment will be subjected to ticketing and/or towing. Medal of Excellence Awards Dinner
October 9 @ 6:00 pm
The Medal of Excellence Awards, established in 2006, recognize graduates of Rutgers University School of Engineering who have distinguished themselves professionally since graduation in industry, academia, government, research, and business, while raising scholarship funds to support success. Honorees are celebrated at a networking dinner event that is attended by alumni and SoE faculty and students, as well as an impressive representation of local industry members and other distinguished guests. In addition, the Rutgers Engineering Society (RES) presents its Distinguished Engineer Award at this event.
