SOMOS NJ Poetry & Culture Festival

Save the date for our third annual SOMOS NJ Poetry & Culture Festival! SOMOS 2025 will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on the Rutgers–Newark campus. Registration for SOMOS 2025 will open in November. This event is free and open to the public.
The SOMOS NJ Poetry & Culture Festival is a day-long celebration of Spanish, Portuguese, and Latinx poetry and culture. The 2025 Festival will again feature readings by New Jersey poets, presentations by humanities scholars and practitioners, and opportunities for high-school attendees to recite poetry and share original work.
