It is an eye opening experience that will change you forever.<\/p>\n<p>It is also the best way to learn Italian, walking in Italy you will be surrounded by the sound of <em>la bella lingua<\/em> and will have many opportunities to practice with locals.<\/p>\n<p>Our very own RU Rome Summer program also offers the opportunity to have an internship in Italy and learn how to navigate the business and working world there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to study abroad in Italy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Study abroad sounds fun\u2026but what about the cost? Dr. Scala is the founder and chief editor of the Language Teaching and Technology (LTT). She has won an entrepreneurial grant to develop a Professional Development workshop entirely online for Italian teachers and many other small grants to create innovative online language courses. She has recently published a book From Design to Teaching: Granting Our Students An Engaging Learning Experience Online (Cambridge Scholar Publishing, 2021); an article How to Foster Equality in The Language Classroom, in \\\"Rhetoric and Sociolinguistics in Times of Global Crisis,\\\" (IGI Global, 2021.); and Replacing the 'melting pot' with a 'colorful mixed salad' in the language classroom, in \\\"Global and Transformative Approaches Toward Linguistic Diversity\\\" (IGI,2022); and an edited Volume, How To Actively Engage Our Students In The Language Classes, (Vernon Press, 2022). Last year she received three grants from the Italian Embassy in New York.
