After a hectic 24 hours of travel (and a short nap) we all headed from the airport hotel to the heart of Frankfurt. It was there where we got to grab some much needed caffeine at Einstein Kaffe while taking in the Römerberg, the medieval town square. After, chowing down on lattes, espresso, and raspberry tarts, we set out to see Old St Nichols Church up close. Soon after, we headed to the River Main, passing through public art works and museums, and crossed the Eiserner Steg, or Iron Bridge. It was a great day exploring Frankfurt even with such impromptu plans.
