DESCRIPTION:Applications for Spring 2022 Semester Support Groups (SSG) are open January 1st – 28th\, 2022 \nView this webpage for more details and the link to apply \nGroups will meet virtually (via Zoom) every 1-2 weeks for 60-80 minutes during the semester. \n\nDesign\, Analysis\, Reflection\, and Feedback of Assessments (DARFA)\n\nSIMPLE Design Framework Group facilitated by Marc Muñiz\nIn this group\, participants will review best-practice design of multiple choice assessments\, and learn the theory behind and tools for analyzing exam results. Such analysis can be used to improve exam item designs and inform the creation of targeted feedback to students such as Targeted Exam Talk-Throughs using PlayPosit\n\n\nGroup for Independent Feedback on Teaching (GIFT)\n\nPeer Observation Group facilitated by: Phil Brown\nIn this group\, participants will meet to discuss current teaching strategies\, and learn and implement new\, low-barrier evidence-based practices within their course. These interventions have been shown to increase students’ feelings of belongingness and self-identify\, and reduce inequitable assessment outcomes for students from historically excluded groups. Participants will learn the theory and motivation behind VAIs\, and receive guidance in implementing a VAI\n\n\n\n
