Launched in August 2026, CPM welcomes collaborations at two levels:

Research collaboration: joint investment and brainstorming to solve a new scientific problem, discover a new modification, or contribute critical data to a future paper or grant specific aim. This is best for collaborations that require pushing scientific boundaries through the development of new proteomics methods, experimental design, or new software/code.

Fee-for-Service: collaborator’s need-based service on data acquisition, sample preparation, or data analysis. Using well-established protocols and methods, this is best for collaborations with clear, specific proteomics needs. Rates are based on approved charges by the Rutgers Costing Group, per sample.

Example protocols

Whole proteome DDA (Data-dependent Acquisition).

Whole proteome DIA (Data-independent Acquisition).

Protein interactome/immunoprecipitation mass spectrometry (IPMS)

Rapid immunoprecipitation mass spectrometry of endogenous proteins (RIME)

ATE1-based Arginylation Profiling (ABAP)

Activity-based protein profiling (ABPP)

Partners

Biological Mass Spectrometry Facility (BMSF), Rutgers Busch Campus, https://cabm.rutgers.edu/research/mass-spectrometry-facility

Center for Advance Metabolomics and Proteomics Research (CAMPR), Rutgers NJMS Newark, https://research-office.njms.rutgers.edu/core-facilities/capr

Contact

CPM provides consultation, training, and advice to investigators and trainees willing to use proteomics for their research ideas and projects.

Director: Tom Lin, PhD

Shipping

Attn: Tom Lin
Center for Protein Modification
Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy
Rutgers University
William Levine Hall, Room 323
160 Frelinghuysen Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854
Tel: 848-445-3281.
