After conducting the VOICE Program among community members and healthcare workers, we received feedback that there is an urgency to develop a more tailored violence prevention and intervention program for University Hospital and New Jersey Medical School Staff.  Therefore, we created the Safety Against Violence for Employees (SAVE) VOICE Program and began working on a program website as a more accessible and enduring platform for the curriculum.  This hybrid VOICE program for hospital and medical school staff includes learning collaborative sessions and prevalent gun violence-related topics such as self-defense, de-escalation, and mental health crisis intervention.  We also plan to use the Community Engaged Service Learning (CESL) program to collaborate with other healthcare organizations and professionals.
