Shared accounts must be created by a Rutgers Connect Delegated Administrator. All shared Webex accounts need to be associated with a service account in Rutgers Connect.
You can ask your Rutgers Connect Delegated Administrator to activate a shared Webex account for an existing service account or make you a new service account.
Webex supports several account types. Most users will only utilize Host accounts.
You do not need an account to attend a Webex meeting, and should not get a Webex account unless you intend to host meetings or manage a shared account.
Users must hold an active faculty, staff or student role to self-provision a person Webex account. Guests will need to contact their Rutgers Connect Domain Administrator if they would like a Webex account activated. See the following page regarding creating a personal Webex account for information on how to create a Webex account.
A shared Webex account allows multiple users to access and manage an account. To access information on the shared Webex account, you need to be a delegated user for that account. Your Rutgers Connect Delegated Administrator can provision and manage access to your shared Webex account.
