A Film By Mark Rahman

After long balancing the conflict between the 40-hour workweek and the creative drive to make art, Mark Rahman seeks answers to universal questions relating to human expression in a society that stifles it. From a biography of his creative life wedged between soul-destroying jobs, to an exploration of the disappointing realities of being a professional musician in an industry driven by profit, the film finds that chafing at the daily grind is inherently bound up with the struggle to keep the flame of human creativity lit.

Mark Rahman is a recent graduate of the Rutgers undergraduate programs in history and cinema studies. Alongside his interest in music and film, he is a passionate activist with the International Marxist Tendency.
