Snowstorms
Makenna Boutin
Starting something you know won’t end well
Is like driving in a blizzard
You can’t see the cars ahead of you or the accident waiting to happen
And it will happen
It’s only a matter of how fatal a collision
Each blinding snowflake its own mesmerizing beauty
Distracting you from a sane decision
Distracting you from the oncoming traffic
waiting to wreck the warm environment
you believed in seconds before
And just like that you’re spinning out
You try and stay calm to gain control again
But there’s not enough time
Blindsided
The windows shatter, airbags blow
Your head bleeds and your heart slows
Before heading out you knew there was a low mortality rate
So why didn’t you stay home?
It’s because you trust your car not to let anything hurt you
But when stakes are high and visibility is low
It’s best to go with your gut and stay inside
