 <\/p>\n

yesterday, the screen was a container\u2014<\/p>\n

a square of my world, of my everyday,<\/p>\n

so many squares of the self\u2014<\/p>\n

all in one moment, with pixels and light,<\/p>\n

I saw you, I saw them, I saw me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

four walls around me made it clear<\/p>\n

I was on my own, pressed into<\/p>\n

the folds of my loneliness\u2014<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

my only company: a cup of tea,<\/p>\n

the way it consoled me without<\/p>\n

a hand or a mouth or an ear.<\/p>\n

it sat there inside of itself looking<\/p>\n

for something to call a sun or a moon<\/p>\n

or a cloud\u2014finding only my face,<\/p>\n

your face, their faces.<\/p>\n

look up! look up! <\/em>it said.<\/p>\n

there are so many things to open for.<\/em><\/p>\n

look up into the sky of the face.<\/em><\/p>\n
