But in the age of endless distractions, the greatest disservice is to remove ourselves from our ability to feel. In times when it feels too overwhelming, and when it is easier than ever to shut everything off and fill our minds with distractions, it is vital to feel, no matter how joyous or painful or overwhelming that may be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madison Panno<\/strong> is a senior at Rutgers University with a major in English and a minor in Creative Writing.
