 <\/p>\n

I\u2019ve watched you for a while now.<\/span><\/p>\n

You always sit in the corner here, working on a novel you\u2019ll never finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

You really regret starting it.<\/span><\/p>\n

But you\u2019ve told everyone you\u2019d do this, you\u2019re stuck.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s honestly been fun to see your \u201cwriting process\u201d these past few weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sipping the same coffee for hours on end,<\/span><\/p>\n

cursing under your breath,<\/span><\/p>\n

sending vulgarities through the wind\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

silently mailed to nearly everyone you know.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even beating your head against the keyboard one day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You had been working on that one scene for weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shame you had to cut it.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been watching you for a while now you know, following you everywhere you go.<\/span><\/p>\n

You didn\u2019t notice me though.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s ok, you didn\u2019t have to.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most people don\u2019t, unless it\u2019s almost time for us to meet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s strange, honestly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

People know I\u2019m there; I\u2019m not trying to hide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So why are they always so surprised to meet me?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Even you, you\u2019re staring at me like I have three heads.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You even dropped that coffee.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s probably for the best.<\/span><\/p>\n

Get a new one. Mix it up a little, try something new.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, don\u2019t worry.<\/span><\/p>\n

I just wanted to say hello for now, off duty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019m never off duty.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m actually here to meet that fellow in the newsboy cap. But that\u2019s beside the point.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a while. We haven\u2019t met in\u2026 years now. Yes\u2026 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

You saw me back then,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0meeting your mother as she decided to join me.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was strange that you did see me\u2026 but I must admit,<\/span><\/p>\n

it was a welcome change of pace.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You even gave me a little wave as I left. That made my week.<\/span><\/p>\n

I never could get an answer from the boss as to why though.<\/span><\/p>\n

You deserved a gift for that. A boon, you could call it.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will have to officially meet you soon. I won\u2019t say when.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it is soon.<\/span><\/p>\n

I wanted to give you time to prepare.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A little gift to one that made me smile all those days ago, even while she was breaking.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can decide what to do with that time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But some advice, from one who has met many who\u2019ve forgotten about me and who\u2019ve been forgotten?<\/span><\/p>\n

Make sure you\u2019re happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

It makes our next meeting much more pleasant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway, it is time I take my leave.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I do wish you well. I\u2019ll see you soon.<\/span><\/p>\n
