I\u2019d like to drive to the end of the endless dark road<\/span><\/p>\n

Until the land meets the water<\/span><\/p>\n

A long as the sun doesn\u2019t rise, the shore doesn\u2019t come<\/span><\/p>\n

My mind wandering, the gruelling thoughts lulling,<\/span><\/p>\n

Skipping along the notes of my favorite songs<\/span><\/p>\n

The harmony thrumming through the old car speaker<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I fantasize disseminating like smoke into the wind<\/span><\/p>\n

Lost thus free<\/span><\/p>\n

A wandering soul amidst the hell goers<\/span><\/p>\n

No longer a begging plea<\/span><\/p>\n

One can only go so far melting inside herself<\/span><\/p>\n

Sinking beneath the skin<\/span><\/p>\n

Her bones a fragile barrier<\/span><\/p>\n

Between them and what manages to shatter within<\/span><\/p>\n

What if their words became a whisper in the bird song<\/span><\/p>\n

Something I\u2019d only notice now and then<\/span><\/p>\n

Rather than the thunderous lion\u2019s roar<\/span><\/p>\n

Desperate to find cover, trying to predict when it will begin again<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I browse the flights<\/span><\/p>\n

Flicker through the bookings I can\u2019t afford<\/span><\/p>\n

Plan a night in the car<\/span><\/p>\n

Grasping for another life to flee toward<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I recognize the meaningless in all the things<\/span><\/p>\n

That once carried so much weight for me<\/span><\/p>\n

Repeat their hateful words in my head like a mantra<\/span><\/p>\n

Disregard the promise in the colloquoy of my loved ones<\/span><\/p>\n

Reminiscing on the memories of their falters<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The invisibility cloak can be thick<\/span><\/p>\n

Invincibility in each strand<\/span><\/p>\n

My moments in the daylight sparse<\/span><\/p>\n

My trace like footprints in the sand<\/span><\/p>\n

My towers amidst clouds, invasion unfeasible<\/span><\/p>\n

The helpless memory of me barred from the wonderland<\/span><\/p>\n

My number is changed, and your contact is lost<\/span><\/p>\n

I refuse to be the continued play thing you leave broken<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll slip away like the water you try to grasp<\/span><\/p>\n

Never again will you hear the sound of my voice being spoken.<\/span><\/p>\n
