Distance Education

Rutgers University has compiled a list of distance learning technologies on the COVID-19 homepage.

Lectures can be pre-recorded using Kaltura Personal Capture and easily imported into your Canvas course.

Proctored exams can be conducted securely via WebEx and ExamSoft.

Prerecording Lectures

Lectures can be prerecording using a variety of methods including:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint voice-over recordings
  • Kaltura Personal Capture
  • Utilizing a RSDM lecture hall equip with SnagIt

Virtual Classrooms and Webinars

As an alternative to in-person lectures and meetings, faculty are able to meet virtually with their students and residents over Cisco WebEx or BigBlueButton.
